Finance Minister Dr Ayesha Ghaus Pasha is presented the annual budget for the financial year 2015-16 in the House.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also present.
This is eighth consecutive budget of the PML-N’s provincial government.
Earlier, the Punjab Cabinet has approved the budget proposals for the next fiscal year at a meeting held in Lahore with Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in the Chair.
The government has allocated Rs.70 billion for a project to provide clean drinking water across the province, says Dr Ayesha while presenting fiscal budget 2015-16. She adds, that Rs.135 billion to be spent on Solar energy projects to quell the energy crisis in the province. Road will be maintained across the province with Rs.57 billion.

Punjab has set 2018 as a deadline to generate 1,000,000 jobs in the province. The government has also allocated Rs.87 billion for police force in the province.
After launching Metro-Bus service in Lahore and Rawalpindi-Islamabad, Punjab government is all set to start the transportation project in Multan.
